How to Care for Your Jewelry

Cleaning

  1. Use lukewarm water and a mild soap, and then let your jewelry soak for 5 minutes
  1. Gently scrub your piece with a soft bristled toothbrush, or your fingers, to areas that have dirt or buildup
  1. Gently pat your jewelry dry with a soft cloth

Alternatively, if your jewelry isn't that dirty, you can use our microfiber cloth (or any microfiber cloth) to wipe down your jewelry.

Preventative Care

Please follow the suggestions below to allow your jewelry to last as long as possible:

  • Keep your jewelry stored in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, and store your jewelry in our jewelry box, or a ziplock bag you have lying around your house.
  • If you're applying chemicals to yourself (such as lotions, sunscreens, perfumes, hand sanitizer) please allow time for these chemicals to dry before putting on your jewelry.  Also, never directly apply these chemicals to your jewelry!
  • Avoid getting your jewelry wet.  Please don't shower, wash your hands, or sweat in your jewelry.  Hot tubs and pools are particularly bad because of the chlorine!
  • Avoid being rough with your jewelry to prevent scratching or breakage.  We also recommend not sleeping with your jewelry on to prevent damage.  If you feel the need to punch something, please take your jewelry off first!

Following these tips will prolong the lifetime of your jewelry pieces.  We understand that life happens and you can't always follow every rule, but they are important guidelines to keep in mind.
